Jehovah

Jehovah — the covenant name, I AM, the premortal Christ

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. 2 Samuel 21:1

David prays and the LORD, Jehovah, the premortal Christ, answers him directly, showing that Jehovah hears and reveals the cause of Israel's trouble.

Light of the World

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel. 2 Samuel 21:17

David's men call their king "the light of Israel". Isaiah later uses the same title for the LORD Himself, and Jesus, the Son of David, declares He is the Light of the World.
