Resurrection (the sealed stone and the early morning)

And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. Daniel 6:17–23

Daniel, who was innocent, is shut in a pit with a stone laid over the opening and sealed by the ruler. Very early the next morning someone hurries to the pit and finds him alive. Christian readers have long seen this as a picture of Jesus's sealed tomb and the empty tomb on Easter morning. The chapter does not say it is a type, so this is a gentle comparison.

The Living God, the Deliverer

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. Daniel 6:26–27

A pagan king praises the God of Israel, who saves and rescues, as the living God with a kingdom that lasts forever. Latter-day Saints understand the God who dealt with Israel to be Jehovah, the premortal Christ. The words about His unending kingdom match Daniel's prophecies of Christ's kingdom.
