Son of Man

Son of Man — in Restoration scripture, the Son of the Man of Holiness, meaning the Son of God the Father (Moses 6:57)

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. Daniel 7:13

Daniel sees the Son of Man coming in the clouds and being brought before the Ancient of Days. Latter-day Saints understand the Ancient of Days to be Adam, who will hold a great council at Adam-ondi-Ahman before the Second Coming. There Christ will come and receive back the keys. Jesus quoted this verse when He told the high priest He would come in the clouds of heaven.

His Everlasting Kingdom

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:14

The Son of Man receives a kingdom that every nation will serve and that will never end. This foretells Christ reigning as King when He returns and forever after.

His Everlasting Kingdom

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Daniel 7:27

The kingdom is given to the Lord's saints, and every ruler will serve 'him.' That is the Most High, whose kingdom the Son of Man received in verse 14. Latter-day Saints see this fulfilled as the kingdom of God rolls forth to meet Christ at His coming.
