Jehovah who turns the curse into a blessing

Jehovah — the covenant name, 'I AM', the premortal Christ

Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee. Deuteronomy 23:5

Out of love, Jehovah would not let Balaam curse Israel and made the hired curse into a blessing instead. The premortal Christ shielded His covenant people from a curse long before He came to bear the curse Himself.

Jehovah walking in the midst of the camp

Jehovah — the covenant name, 'I AM', the premortal Christ

For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. Deuteronomy 23:14

Jehovah dwelt among His people as their Deliverer, and that is why their camp had to be kept holy. The premortal Christ walking in the midst of Israel anticipates the Word made flesh dwelling among us.
