Lord of Sabaoth

Lord of Sabaoth — Lord of Hosts (armies); D&C 95:7 renders it 'the creator of the first day, the beginning and the end'

That the cry of the saints, and of the blood of the saints, shall cease to come up into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, from the earth, to be avenged of their enemies. Doctrine and Covenants 87:7

The Lord of Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts, is Jesus Christ. He hears the cries of His persecuted saints and will avenge them.

The day of the Lord

Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord. Amen. Doctrine and Covenants 87:8

The Savior tells His saints how to survive the wars ahead: stand in holy places until His coming, which He says will come quickly.
