Blood of the covenant

And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Exodus 24:6–8

The covenant at Sinai is sealed with sacrificial blood sprinkled on the altar and the people. Jesus echoed these words when He gave the sacrament, calling the cup His blood of the new testament shed for many.

The God of Israel seen

Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: Exodus 24:9–11

Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy elders see the God of Israel and eat in His presence. The Church indexes this as an appearance of Jesus Christ before His birth. The resurrected Jesus called Himself 'the God of Israel', and in the Kirtland Temple He appeared with a paved work under His feet.

Glory of the LORD in the cloud

And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. Exodus 24:15–17

Jehovah's glory rests on the mountain like devouring fire, and after six days He calls from the cloud. The Transfiguration echoes this scene: after six days, on a high mountain, a bright cloud and a divine voice testify of Jesus.

Moses forty days and nights

And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. Exodus 24:18

Moses spends forty days and nights with God on the mountain. Jesus, the Prophet like Moses, likewise fasted forty days and nights in the wilderness before His ministry.
