Exodus 5

Jehovah, God of Israel

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. Exodus 5:1–3

Moses and Aaron speak in the LORD's name, and Pharaoh answers that he does not know the LORD. The chapters that follow are Jehovah showing Egypt and Israel who He is.

And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, LORD, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? Exodus 5:22–23

Discouraged, Moses brings his honest complaint to the LORD, in whose name he had spoken. It shows a prophet turning to Jehovah even when deliverance seems to be failing.
