Ezekiel 47

Living Water

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. Ezekiel 47:1–5

Water flows out from the Lord's house and grows deeper the farther it goes, until Ezekiel can only swim. Jesus Christ is the source of living water, and the blessings that flow from Him and His temple deepen as we go further in, until they are more than we can measure.

Living Water (healing the dead sea)

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. Ezekiel 47:8–11

The river reaches the Dead Sea and heals it, so that 'every thing shall live whither the river cometh.' It prophesies the healing and renewal of the earth in the last days, and it teaches that wherever the living water of Christ reaches, what was dead comes to life.

Tree of Life

And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. Ezekiel 47:12

Trees watered by the river from the sanctuary bear fruit every month and have leaves that heal. John saw the same tree of life beside the river of God, and the Book of Mormon links the tree and the living waters to the love of God shown in His Son, Jesus Christ, whose gifts never run out and who heals.
