Jehovah (LORD) — "I AM", the covenant God of Israel
Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries. Ezekiel 6:8–10
Jehovah, the premortal Christ, speaks as a covenant husband whose heart is broken by Israel's unfaithfulness, yet He preserves a remnant who will remember Him. The refrain "ye shall know that I am the LORD" runs through the chapter: the goal of even His judgments is that His people come to know Him.
