Christ — the Anointed One
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: Galatians 2:4
Disciples have freedom in Christ Jesus from the burden of the old law. False brethren tried to take that liberty away.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:16
No one is made right with God by keeping the law of Moses alone. We are justified through faith in Jesus Christ and what He has done.

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. Galatians 2:17
Seeking justification through Christ does not make Him a promoter of sin. He saves from sin; He never excuses it.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Paul's old self died with Christ, and now Christ lives in him. Discipleship means letting the Savior's life become our life.

Son of God — the divine Son of the Father
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Paul speaks personally: the Son of God loved him and gave Himself for him. The Atonement is individual as well as universal.

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2:21
If we could become righteous by the law alone, Christ's death would have been pointless. His death was necessary because the law cannot save.
