Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1
Christ has set His disciples free from the yoke of bondage to the old law and to sin. Paul urges them not to go back into slavery.

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. Galatians 5:2–4
Those who trust the law of circumcision to save them cut themselves off from what Christ offers. Salvation comes by His grace, not by the old ordinances.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Galatians 5:6
In Jesus Christ outward markers do not matter. What counts is faith in Him that shows itself through love.

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. Galatians 5:10
Paul's hope for the Galatians rests in the Lord, who can keep them faithful.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. Galatians 5:11
The message that salvation comes through a crucified Savior offended many. If Paul preached circumcision instead, that offence would disappear, but so would the gospel of the cross.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Galatians 5:14
Paul echoes the Savior's own teaching that the whole law hangs on love. Loving others is how disciples fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ have, in a sense, nailed their sinful desires to the cross with Him, choosing to live by the Spirit instead.
