Jehovah

Jehovah — the unchangeable One, the eternal I AM (rendered LORD)

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Genesis 7:1

Jehovah personally invites Noah and his family to come into safety. His invitation to 'come' is the same one Christ extends to all.

And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. Genesis 7:16

Noah did not close the door himself; the LORD did, keeping safe those who entered the refuge He provided.

Noah's Ark

And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: Genesis 7:21–23

Only those inside the ark were saved through the waters, a figure of salvation through Christ and baptism. Jesus said His Second Coming would be like the days of Noah, when people were unready until the Flood came.
