Isaiah 32

The righteous King

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. Isaiah 32:1

Isaiah foresees a king who reigns in perfect righteousness. It may have first applied to a good king of Judah, but its fullest meaning is Jesus Christ, the King who will reign in righteousness.

Shadow of a great rock

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Isaiah 32:2

'A man' is a shelter from the storm, water in the desert, and the shade of a great rock. That describes what Christ is to those who come to Him. Helaman teaches that we must build on the rock of our Redeemer so the storms cannot destroy us.
