Jehovah — the covenant name, rendered LORD
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21:1–2
Even kings are in the LORD's hand, and He looks past our excuses to weigh the heart. Jehovah, the premortal Christ, knows and judges the heart.
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3
Jehovah cares more about a righteous life than about ritual offerings alone. Jesus taught the same thing in mortality when He quoted 'I will have mercy, and not sacrifice.'
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. Proverbs 21:30–31
No plan succeeds against the LORD, and victory comes from Him, not from horses. 'Safety' translates the Hebrew word for salvation, related to the name Jesus (Yeshua), 'Jehovah saves.'
