Proverbs 25

Ministry

Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men: Proverbs 25:6–7

Don't grab the best seat; wait to be invited higher. Jesus taught this same lesson in His parable about guests at a wedding feast, ending with 'whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased.'

Jehovah

Jehovah — the covenant name, rendered LORD

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: Proverbs 25:21–22

Feeding your enemy is the way of the LORD, and He will reward it. Jehovah here teaches in Proverbs what Jesus later taught openly: love your enemies.
