LORD (Jehovah) — the covenant name, "I AM", the premortal Christ
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13
Reverence for the LORD, Jehovah the premortal Christ, shows up as hating evil, pride and a lying mouth.
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Proverbs 8:17
The Lord uses nearly the same promise in His own voice in modern revelation: those who seek Him early will find Him. That echo lets a reader hear Christ's invitation in Wisdom's words.
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. Proverbs 8:22–31
Wisdom describes being with God before the world and beside Him through the Creation. The New Testament uses the same pattern for Christ, the Word who "was with God" in the beginning and by whom all things were made, and Paul calls Christ "the wisdom of God." This is traditional Christian typology, not a direct Latter-day Saint teaching. In this reading the LORD of verse 22 would be the Father.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. Proverbs 8:32–36
Wisdom promises that whoever finds her finds life. The same promise is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who is the life, and whoever has the Son has life. This is a soft echo, not a stated prophecy.
