I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication. Psalms 142:1–5

When no one cared for his soul, David found Jehovah, the premortal Christ, to be his refuge and portion.

David pleads to be freed from confinement. The plea echoes the Messiah's mission to open prisons and free captive souls.
