Psalms 32

Sin covered and not imputed

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalms 32:1–2

True happiness belongs to those whose sins are forgiven and covered. Paul quoted these verses to teach that forgiveness is a gift of grace, made possible by Christ's Atonement.

The LORD who guides with His eye

Jehovah — the LORD, the covenant name of the premortal Christ

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Psalms 32:8

The LORD speaks directly, promising to teach and guide the forgiven person. Jehovah, the premortal Christ, personally guides those who come to Him.
