The Judge of the world

But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. Psalms 9:7–8

The LORD will sit on His throne and judge the whole world with perfect fairness. Paul taught that God will judge the world in righteousness by the man He has ordained, Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead.

Jehovah the refuge who lifts from the gates of death

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalms 9:9–14

The LORD is a safe place for the oppressed and the One who lifts His people up from the gates of death, so they rejoice in His salvation. Latter-day Saints know Jehovah as Jesus Christ, who conquered death for all.
