Psalms 92

Jehovah

IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH: Psalms 92:1–5

The Sabbath psalm gives thanks to Jehovah for His lovingkindness, His faithfulness, and the great works of His hands. Latter-day Saints know Jehovah as the premortal Christ, the Lord of the Sabbath.

Jehovah

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore. Psalms 92:8–9

Jehovah stays exalted forever while His enemies are scattered, a picture of Christ's final victory over all wickedness.

Rock

Rock — a sure, unmoving foundation and refuge

To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Psalms 92:15

The LORD is 'my rock,' with no unrighteousness in Him. Helaman teaches that we must build on the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, and Paul says the Rock that followed Israel was Christ.
