Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying, 1 Kings 16:1–3

Jehovah, the premortal Christ, speaks through the prophet Jehu. He is the One who lifts people 'out of the dust', and He holds Baasha accountable for leading 'my people' into sin.

Hundreds of years after Joshua's curse on anyone who rebuilt Jericho, it comes true in the loss of Hiel's sons. Jehovah's word stands across generations.
