Bread of Life

And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set; 2 Chronicles 4:19

The shewbread, the 'bread of the presence', was set continually before the Lord. Christians have long seen in it a picture of Jesus, who called Himself the bread of life that sustains us in God's presence.

Light of the World

Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold; 2 Chronicles 4:20

The golden candlesticks (also made in verse 7) gave the only light inside the holy house, burning before the oracle. They echo Jesus, the light of the world, and John later saw the risen Christ standing among golden candlesticks.
