Christ

Christ — the Anointed One

Now this was a great cause for lamentations among the people, while others were abasing themselves, succoring those who stood in need of their succor, such as imparting their substance to the poor and the needy, feeding the hungry, and suffering all manner of afflictions, for Christ's sake, who should come according to the spirit of prophecy; Alma 4:13

About 83 years before His birth, the humble Nephites served the needy and endured affliction for Christ's sake, knowing by prophecy that He would come. They loved and served Him before He was born.

How we know: the verse itself names Him

• alludes to Mosiah 3:5-8 — The angel's prophecy to King Benjamin that the Lord Jesus Christ would come down among men.
• alludes to Jarom 1:11 — Believers looked forward to the Messiah and believed in Him to come as though He already was.

Resurrection through Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ — Jesus (Jehovah saves), the Anointed One

Looking forward to that day, thus retaining a remission of their sins; being filled with great joy because of the resurrection of the dead, according to the will and power and deliverance of Jesus Christ from the bands of death. Alma 4:14

The faithful kept a remission of their sins by looking forward to Christ's coming, and they rejoiced that Jesus Christ has the power to deliver everyone from the bands of death through His Resurrection.

How we know: the verse itself names Him

• alludes to Mosiah 4:12 — King Benjamin teaches how to retain a remission of your sins.
• alludes to Mosiah 15:23 — Abinadi: the prophets and faithful are raised to eternal life through Christ, who has broken the bands of death.
• alludes to Alma 11:42 — Amulek: Christ shall loose the bands of this temporal death, that all shall be raised.

Holy Order of the Son of God

And thus in the commencement of the ninth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, Alma delivered up the judgment-seat to Nephihah, and confined himself wholly to the high priesthood of the holy order of God, to the testimony of the word, according to the spirit of revelation and prophecy. Alma 4:20

The 'holy order of God' Alma served in is the priesthood after the order of the Son of God, a priesthood that points people to Christ's redemption. Alma chose to give his whole time to testifying of Him.
