Melchizedek

Melchizedek — king of righteousness

Why the first is called the Melchizedek Priesthood is because Melchizedek was such a great high priest. Doctrine and Covenants 107:2

Melchizedek, king of Salem and great high priest, is a type of Jesus Christ, the true King of righteousness and eternal High Priest.

Son of God

Son of God — the Only Begotten of the Father

Before his day it was called the Holy Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God. Doctrine and Covenants 107:3–4

The full name of the higher priesthood is "the Holy Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God"; it is Christ's own priesthood, renamed for Melchizedek out of reverence for His name.

Mediator of the New Covenant

Mediator — the one who stands between God and man to reconcile them

To have the privilege of receiving the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, to have the heavens opened unto them, to commune with the general assembly and church of the Firstborn, and to enjoy the communion and presence of God the Father, and Jesus the mediator of the new covenant. Doctrine and Covenants 107:19

The Melchizedek Priesthood opens the way to the presence of the Father and of Jesus, the Mediator of the new covenant; the Church of the Firstborn is named for Christ, the Firstborn.

Christ

Christ — the Anointed One

The twelve traveling councilors are called to be the Twelve Apostles, or special witnesses of the name of Christ in all the world—thus differing from other officers in the church in the duties of their calling. Doctrine and Covenants 107:23

The central calling of the Twelve is to be special witnesses of the name of Christ everywhere.

Witnesses of Christ

The Seventy are also called to preach the gospel, and to be especial witnesses unto the Gentiles and in all the world—thus differing from other officers in the church in the duties of their calling. Doctrine and Covenants 107:25

The Seventy are also witnesses — of Christ and His gospel — to the whole world, echoing the seventy Jesus sent out.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ — Jesus (Jehovah saves), the Anointed One

The Twelve are a Traveling Presiding High Council, to officiate in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Presidency of the Church, agreeable to the institution of heaven; to build up the church, and regulate all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and secondly unto the Jews. Doctrine and Covenants 107:33–35

The Twelve and the Seventy act in the Lord's name and open the door to the nations by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, first to the Gentiles and then to the Jews.

Premortal Christ (seen by Enoch)

And he saw the Lord, and he walked with him, and was before his face continually; and he walked with God three hundred and sixty-five years, making him four hundred and thirty years old when he was translated. Doctrine and Covenants 107:49

Enoch saw the Lord — Jehovah, the premortal Christ — and walked with Him in His presence continually until he was translated.

Premortal Christ (appearance at Adam-ondi-Ahman)

Three years previous to the death of Adam, he called Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, and Methuselah, who were all high priests, with the residue of his posterity who were righteous, into the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman, and there bestowed upon them his last blessing. Doctrine and Covenants 107:53–55

At Adam-ondi-Ahman the Lord (Jehovah, the premortal Christ) appeared to Adam and his righteous posterity, comforted Adam, and spoke to him. Adam-ondi-Ahman contains "Ahman," a name of God.

Church of Christ (His name)

To the church of Christ in the land of Zion, in addition to the church laws respecting church business— Doctrine and Covenants 107:59

The Church bears Christ's name — it is His Church.

Lord of Hosts

Lord of Hosts — Jehovah, Lord of the armies of heaven

Verily, I say unto you, saith the Lord of Hosts, there must needs be presiding elders to preside over those who are of the office of an elder; Doctrine and Covenants 107:60

The quoted revelation is spoken by the Lord of Hosts, a title of Jehovah, the Lord Jesus Christ.
