Council at Adam-ondi-Ahman

Ancient of Days — Adam, the oldest man

Spring Hill is named by the Lord Adam-ondi-Ahman, because, said he, it is the place where Adam shall come to visit his people, or the Ancient of Days shall sit, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet. Doctrine and Covenants 116:1

Daniel saw the Ancient of Days (Adam) sit in judgment, and then "one like the Son of man" came and received everlasting dominion. The gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman prepares for Christ to take His rightful kingdom before His Second Coming.

Ahman

The Lord names the place with a name that includes Ahman, a name of God. The Lord also calls Himself "Son Ahman" in D&C 78:20, so His name is built into the place-name.
