Redeemer

Redeemer — one who buys back, pays the price to free a captive

Behold, thus saith the Lord unto my servant William E. McLellin—Blessed are you, inasmuch as you have turned away from your iniquities, and have received my truths, saith the Lord your Redeemer, the Savior of the world, even of as many as believe on my name. Doctrine and Covenants 66:1

Christ is our Redeemer because He paid the price of our sins to free us from sin and death.

How we know: the verse itself names Him

Savior of the World

Savior — one who saves or delivers

He is Savior of the whole world, and His saving power reaches everyone who believes on His name.

How we know: the verse itself names Him

• the same title in 1 John 4:14 — The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world

His Gospel and Everlasting Covenant

Verily I say unto you, blessed are you for receiving mine everlasting covenant, even the fulness of my gospel, sent forth unto the children of men, that they might have life and be made partakers of the glories which are to be revealed in the last days, as it was written by the prophets and apostles in days of old. Doctrine and Covenants 66:2

The gospel is Christ's own ("my gospel"); receiving it brings His covenant and the glories of the last days.

His own words to His servants

Lay your hands upon the sick, and they shall recover. Return not till I, the Lord, shall send you. Be patient in affliction. Ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Doctrine and Covenants 66:9

Jesus repeats promises from His mortal ministry, giving His servant the same power to heal and the same invitation to ask.

The Son speaking of His Father

Continue in these things even unto the end, and you shall have a crown of eternal life at the right hand of my Father, who is full of grace and truth. Doctrine and Covenants 66:12

The Son speaks of "my Father," at whose right hand the faithful receive eternal life; the Son Himself is also described as full of grace and truth.

Jesus Christ

Jesus — "Jehovah saves"; Christ — the Anointed One

Verily, thus saith the Lord your God, your Redeemer, even Jesus Christ. Amen. Doctrine and Covenants 66:13

The revelation is signed with His name: the Lord God who has been speaking is Jesus Christ, the Redeemer.
