Altar of Sacrifice
And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. Exodus 27:1–2
Every sacrifice on this altar pointed forward to the sacrifice of the Only Begotten Son. The altar where the offering died stands for the place of Christ's atoning sacrifice.
