Lord of Hosts — Jehovah, commander of the armies of heaven
The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth. Isaiah 23:9–11
The LORD of hosts, Jehovah, humbles worldly pride and wealth.
How we know: the verse itself names Him
Jehovah — the covenant name, rendered LORD; the premortal Jesus Christ
And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. Isaiah 23:17–18
Tyre's wealth will finally be consecrated as holiness to the LORD, the words engraved on the high priest's crown and on latter-day temples, and used for those who live in His presence.
How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)
