Second Coming

LORD (Jehovah)

Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple. Micah 1:2–4

Micah pictures the LORD coming down from His temple so that the mountains melt under Him. The immediate subject is judgment on Samaria and Judah, but the imagery of mountains melting at the Lord's coming is used in latter-day scripture for Christ's Second Coming.
