Jehovah

Jehovah — the covenant name, "I AM" / He who is

And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. Nehemiah 4:14

LORD in capitals is Jehovah, whom Latter-day Saints know as the premortal Jesus Christ. Nehemiah tells frightened builders to remember Him, not their enemies.

How we know: Jehovah is the premortal Christ (Abraham 1:16; D&C 110:3–4)

In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us. Nehemiah 4:20

This echoes Moses at the Red Sea, where the LORD promised to fight for Israel. The God who fights for His people is Jehovah, the premortal Christ, who still promises to fight the battles of His Saints.
