Passover Lamb

Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season. Numbers 9:2–5

Israel remembered the night the blood of a lamb saved their firstborn in Egypt. The Passover lamb is one of the clearest types of Jesus Christ, whose blood saves us from death and sin.

Passover Lamb

The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. Numbers 9:11–12

Not one bone of the Passover lamb could be broken. When the soldiers broke the legs of the thieves but not of Jesus, John saw this law fulfilled: Jesus was the true Passover Lamb.

Jehovah

And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning. Numbers 9:15–23

The cloud by day and fire by night showed that Jehovah, the premortal Christ, was present with Israel and leading every step. They moved only when He moved, a pattern for following the Savior's direction.
