Psalms 94

Judgment

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Psalms 94:1–2

The psalmist calls on the Judge of the earth to rise and set things right. The Father has committed all judgment to the Son, and Moroni calls Him 'the great Jehovah, the Eternal Judge.'

Creator

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? Psalms 94:9–11

The One who made the ear and eye hears and sees everything and knows our thoughts. The Creator is Jehovah, the premortal Christ, who later showed in mortality that He knew people's hearts.

Savior

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. Psalms 94:17–19

When the psalmist's foot slipped, Jehovah's mercy held him up and His comforts delighted his soul. That is the rescuing, comforting work of the Savior.

Rock

Rock — a sure foundation and refuge

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Psalms 94:22–23

God is 'the rock of my refuge.' Scripture names Christ as that Rock, the sure foundation where the devil's storms have no power.
