Jehovah (LORD) — the covenant name, 'I AM'; the premortal Christ
The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame. Zephaniah 3:5
Even in a corrupt city the just LORD is present, never failing and never doing wrong. Christ is the perfectly righteous one in the midst of a fallen world.
How we know: the chapter heading names Him
Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. Zephaniah 3:8
The LORD tells the faithful to wait for the day He rises to gather the nations for judgment. This is the last-days gathering of nations that precedes and accompanies Christ's Second Coming.
How we know: the chapter heading names Him
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. Zephaniah 3:9–10
The confusion of Babel is reversed: people receive a pure language and all call on the LORD's name with one heart. Paul teaches that 'the Lord' whose name saves is Jesus Christ.

I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. Zephaniah 3:12–13
The humble remnant will trust in the name of the LORD and no longer lie or deceive. Latter-day Saints take Christ's name upon them and trust in it for salvation.

King of Israel — the LORD Himself reigning over His people
Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. Zephaniah 3:14–16
Zion is told to sing because the LORD Himself, the King of Israel, now lives among them. Jesus was hailed as the King of Israel, and John's 'Fear not, daughter of Sion' at the triumphal entry echoes this call; He will reign in Zion's midst at His coming.

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
The mighty LORD in Zion's midst 'will save,' and He is so glad for His redeemed people that He sings over them. It shows the love and joy of the Savior toward those He rescues.
How we know: the chapter heading names Him
Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. Zephaniah 3:19–20
The LORD promises to rescue the lame and gather the scattered, turning their shame into praise. The gathering of Israel is the Savior's own work, gathering His sheep home.
