Jehovah, whose name is in His house

Jehovah — the premortal Christ

Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever. 2 Chronicles 33:4–7

The narrator quotes Jehovah's promise that His name would rest on the temple forever, which is what makes Manasseh's idols there so terrible. The name placed on the house is the name of Christ, whose name covenant people and temples still bear.

And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 2 Chronicles 33:12–13

Manasseh, perhaps Judah's most wicked king, humbles himself in chains, and Jehovah hears him and brings him home. It shows the reach of the Redeemer's mercy: no one who truly turns to Him is beyond rescue.
